LSHV will hold its Equal Access to Justice Dinner on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester in White Plains.
The event will honor William P. Harrington, Partner and Chairman of the Executive Committee, at Bleakley Platt & Schmidt, LLP; as well as the law firm Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP and the Entergy Corporation.
The 2018 Equal Access to Justice Dinner will be co-chaired by Marc L. Greenwald, Partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, Jonathan C. Harris, General Counsel and Secretary, MBIA Inc., and Vanessa Kaye Watson, Vice President, Senior Managing Counsel, Mastercard International Incorporated. Additionally, more than 60 prominent individuals will lend both their name and support to the event committee.
All of the proceeds from the 2018 Equal Access to Justice Dinner will benefit the organization’s efforts to “Provide Legal Services to Children and Families throughout the Hudson Valley” so that vulnerable households have a roof over their head… a fair chance at employment opportunities… a feeling of safety in their own homes… food and subsistence income… and access to quality education. When 1 in 4 children live in poverty in Westchester, and the number of homeless students in the County has increased 48 percent over the past six years, Legal Services of the Hudson Valley is one of the best, most efficient interventions to break the cycle of poverty and improve our communities.
